Known this weekend in San Francisco as “DJ Diesel,” Shaquille O’Neal believes in the Warriors’ chances of winning the 2023-24 NBA championship.
The Hall-of-Famer-turned-DJ performed Saturday afternoon at Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park, thrilling the Bay Area crowd with his Warriors’ bold predictions.
“This is a song you’re all going to be singing at the end of this year,” O’Neill told the crowd as Queen’s song “We Are the Champions” blasted over the festival’s speakers.
Warriors ranger Gary Payton II also appeared on stage during Shaq’s set.
O’Neal never mentions the Warriors, and technically “this year’s end” is December, which wouldn’t be in the middle of the Golden State season, unless Shaq is referring to the Giants or the 49ers?
Regardless, he thinks Bay Area sports fans will celebrate… something.
